Relevant Coursework

This is a paper overviewing the culture, economic, and political landscape of Argentina which I
wrote during my cultures class while abroad in Costa Rica. Each student picked a country and
presented a project based on the paper written as our final. Although this seems like a futile
project sometimes in which no one would pay attention to, it was a good way for the students
to see the cultural differences and similarities between each country and how it is important
not to put all Latinos (as) in the same box.

This essay came from my literature class that I took while studying abroad in Costa Rica. This class taught me a lot about how to read in Spanish, to analyze, and to have discussions with my classmates in Spanish about the stories that we had read. This was a difficult but really rewarding class to me because it helped
me to develop analytical soft skills that I had not gotten from other classes that I had taken.
This essay in question is my final project on a novela called Aura by Carlos Fuentes, a Mexican
writer that we studied.
